Slipways and launching points
The Broads is dotted with slipways and launching points from which you can get your craft on to the water.
There are various designs and your boat and trailer must be suitable for the slipway you plan to use. Phone ahead whenever possible to check these details with the manager of the slipway:
- depth of water required to float the boat
- incline of the slipway
- ground clearance
- conditions of the slipway surface such as weed growth and grip
Slipways map
Below you can find an interactive map showing slipways and launching points in the Broads area, as well as an accessible table list. Please note that this does not include all slipways in the Broads area, only ones on our database. The majority of these are privately-operated and the Broads Authority is not liable for any issues that you may experience when using the facilities.
Slipways that are marked with 'charges apply' may have a fixed charge or alternatively an expected donation for usage. Please contact the owner for more information and make sure you follow any signage present on-site.
