Boom deployment River Yare, Thorpe Marshes.

Notice is hereby given that the Broads Authority will be deploying a boom across the River Yare, at Thorpe Marshes, just downstream of Whitlingham Broad (shown in red on the plan extract) as part of an oil spill contingency exercise.

The boom will be deployed just after high water around 12:30hrs on Tuesday 28th January 2025. Vessels may be temporarily restricted in their movement while the boom is in place but the river will remain open for vessels wishing to pass. Please follow any instructions given by the Ranger vessels.
