Accessibility Statement for the Broads Authority Tolls Online App

We are committed to ensuring that our Tolls Online App is accessible to all users, including those with disabilities affecting their eyesight or other impairments.

Our aim is to comply with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA.

Accessibility features

The app is designed to be offer a simple online method to pay tolls and be easy to use. Some of the ways we have ensured accessibility include:

  • It is navigable using assistive technologies, supports keyboard navigation and provides clear user-friendly interfaces.
  • We have provided alternative text for all images/icons which will be picked up by screen readers and have reduced visual clutter.
  • We have ensured that text is of sufficiently large size and contrast to be legible and easy to read (it can be zoomed using the standard functions on your browser).
  • We have refrained from the use of bright or low-contrast colours to reduce strain on the eyes.
  • We have tagged forms and enabled the pre-population of autofill data including your name, address and payment information which will link to the autofill function of your browser (if enabled).
