Making a donation
We are regularly offered donations from people or organisations who want to give something back to a place which gives them so much.
While the Broads Authority generally does not handle donations, the Love the Broads visitor giving scheme is the perfect organisation to manage contributions towards caring for the area and any donations given directly to us will be passed on to the scheme.
Love the Broads aims to encourage people to contribute to work which will keep the Broads special now and in years to come and you can also donate directly online.
Visitors and local people can also simply make a small donation at participating tourism sites, like visitor attractions, cafes and restaurants, accommodation providers and boat hire companies.
A donation of just £1 a visitor would raise £7m a year to spend on protecting and enhancing this unique and beautiful waterland.
The scheme managed by the Broads Trust, a registered charity made up of trustees from Norfolk and Suffolk businesses, the tourism industry, conservation organisations, the Broads Authority and the Broads Society.
The trust awards grants to projects which benefit conservation, environment and tourism facilities within the Broads and its immediate surroundings.
