Opportunity for catering pitch at Acle Bridge for 2025 season

Expressions of interest are sought for an exciting opportunity to deliver a new mobile catering facility selling hot/cold drinks and food at Acle Bridge 24hr mooring, Acle, Norfolk, NR13 3AT. The deadline for applications is January 31^st 2025 however interested parties may request an on-site meeting before that date.

The site is offered exclusively and rent-free on a profit share basis for the 2025 season covering the Spring Bank Holiday as the start of the season and will conclude on the October half term end date or October 31 2025.

The Acle Bridge site has had a catering offering for the last five years and has proven popular with boating visitors as well as hikers and passing trade alike. The site is a Broads Authority 24hr mooring predominantly but also has passing rights of way and is situated on the River Bure.

We are offering a pitch for a catering company to provide sales of hot and cold drinks (non-alcoholic), snacks, cakes, food from a mobile unit such as a trailer or converted horsebox. We envisage a suitable food offer would be cakes, traybakes, warmed pastries, paninis, soups and other nutritious foods etc. (rather than fried food such as chips or burgers).

The Authority would promote the catering offer through its communications channels and tasteful advertising A boards can be placed within the parking and staithe areas.

The pitch itself is adjacent to the river and next to our listed chalet, which can be used for power and water facilities and the storage of tables, chairs and other equipment for setting out along the river.

The operator of the mobile unit would be required to clear all rubbish generated at end of each day.

The operator would need to be willing to share operating financial information.

It will be important for the mobile catering operator to understand and work in conjunction with the Authority to provide a food and drink service that offers added value to the site, attracts new visitors and increases footfall.
