Walking and cycling mobile apps

Mobile apps can be a great option for discovering new routes when walking or cycling in the Broads and other National Parks.

Many modern smartphone apps use sophisticated GPS tracking to help users navigate footpaths and cycle lanes. They also allow users to view photos, leave reviews and find new adventures.

We have recommended the apps below because they are free to use (with paid upgrade options) and also have a wide selection of routes and trails available. We are official partners with both AllTrails and Komoot, please note that you do not need to start any trials to access the apps as these are for the premium features only.

Hit the links below from your smartphone to be taken to the relevant app store:

Apple App Store

Google Play Store

Note: We recommend that you do not solely rely on mobile apps to navigate and are aware of the risks associated with doing so (particularly in areas of poor signal). It is sensible to have a back-up plan such paper maps or printed materials, bring multiple devices for navigating within your group and also pack a torch, emergency clothing and other essentials in the event you get lost.
